After viewing the photos in the link above, answer the following questions using complete sentences.

How do these images reflect the feelings that can be found in poems? What moods or emotions do you get out of these photos? What is the photographer trying to say about the world with these images? What ideas do you get for your own work out of these images?

This Week’s Assignment: Street Photography with Pattern/Repetition

This week you will look to street photography for inspiration to capture both street photography with a sense of pattern or repetition.

Pattern/Repetition deals with a repetitive visual throughout the image.

Street photography is finding a neighborhood in an urban environment and making pictures with what is in front of you. Most of these were taken on Alberta Street, my neighborhood in Portland, OR

Five images are due in on Monday, 10/ 17

CFG Group Critique – Dreams w/ Scale & Proportion

Step 1: Get together in your CFGs and pull up the dreams/scale photos you made last week. All of the work that was turned in last week is up now on the website.

Step 2: Each person should be able to answer these questions about each photo in your CFG. Write down the group’s thinking on each of these questions for each of your photos. Post the answers in a google doc and turn it into Google Classroom. Critiques are due on Tuesday.

1. Does each image have dream like imagery and play with scale in some way? What is the photographer trying to say by placing an object or person larger or smaller than the rest of the image? What is the photographer trying to say about the dreamlike imagery? How realistic does the composite image look? Can you tell it was photoshopped or does it look realistic?  Is the photo’s subject in sharp focus? Does the portrait look professional or are there spots they could do a cleaner job of processing?

2. Overall, what could be done to make this photo stronger?

Each person turn in a copy of their group’s answers to the above questions
