I think it’s because the subjects themselves are not extremely eye-catching, but the atmosphere you get around them is interesting. These can be things you drive past everyday and not care for them. You wouldn’t really think you could use them for photography. In a few of the night photos, especially the foggy ones, I sense calmness. I think it’s how the fog interferes with the light that creates that feeling for me. For my own work, I would really love to work with neon lighting at night, because it’s fun to work with if you do it well. I will also keep my eyes open for anything, and not necessarily have a set plan on what I want to shoot.
