What words would you use to describe Kanevskaya’s work? What photographic techniques does she use to create these works? What makes these photos resonate with you? What ideas do you get for your own work?
She does lots of portrait work, but most of them are really imaginative with it’s special effects. She tends to have the subject stare into the camera, but sometimes she has the subject look at something else, or use a simple prop. These don’t really resonate with me, or at least I don’t think so. For my own work, I’d probably use muted colors, or shoot more portraits in general because I don’t usually do that.

These photos are very well thought through. They’re very unique and beautiful. This photographer uses mostly lighting, colors, and props to create these works. These photos resonate with me because of how bold they are. This gives me an idea to create simple portraits but with deep meaning and bold colors.
