  1. Visually, in these images, the difference between rich and poor is that the neighbor hoods are better and the houses are bigger and nicer.
The distance from which these photos were taken affect how we see the subject because they have space between the two and we can see the difference.
When we put two contrasting ideas next to each other it shows us the difference of how people and there lives are, also there living conditions
Two contrasting ideas could you put next to each other in your own photographic work would have to be the difference in culture or different parts of nature

  2. The rich have green trees, and paved roads. Their houses are real houses, and not shacks. The rich also have a cleaner looking neighborhood, while the poor do not. With such a large distance from the subject, you can see how big this divide between the rich and the poor really is. It makes you imagine how much bigger it can be, and if it’s in other areas as well. When you put two contrasting ideas together, it forces you to look at both ideas in a different light. For my own work, I could use emotion as a contrasting idea, because it can be really easy to do. It could be angry v. calm, or something like that. I’d just have to shoot it in a way that is interesting and clearly states what the story of the picture is about.

On the rich side the grass is green, the houses are spread out and the houses are nicer
They were taken in a drone so we can see the picture from up top. Which really shows how they are divided
When you put rich and poor together. those are the two contrasting things in this photo. It really shows how differnt they are.

Visually, the difference between rich and poor is the cleanliness and the space per living area. The distance gives us a bigger picture and compares them side by side, something you wouldn’t be able to do from a ground eye level. It gives you a different perspective of the two contrasting ideas. When you put them next to each other, it is easier to spot the similarities and differences. You could put similar animals (of the same breed) together.
