What techniques are the photographers using in the images above? Which of these images stand out the most and why? What are three techniques that you could try for your next project?
Step 1: Get together in your CFGs and pull up the street/repetition photos you made last week. All of the work that was turned in last week is up now on the website.
Step 2: Each person should be able to answer these questions about each photo in your CFG. Write down the group’s thinking on each of these questions for each of your photos. Post the answers in a google doc and turn it into Google Classroom. Critiques are due on Tuesday.
1. Does each image contain a silhouette with an emphasis on shape? Is the silhouette partial or complete? How does the rest of the image compliment or contrast with the silhouette? What is the photographer trying to say with these silhouettes? Could the photos have more of a sense of shape? Is the photo’s subject in sharp focus?
2. Overall, what could be done to make this photo stronger?
